Tall symmetrical pine of western North America having long blue-green needles in bunches of 3 and elongated cones on spreading somewhat pendulous branches; sometimes classified as a variety of ponderosa pine. Synonyms: black pine, Jeffrey's pine, Pinus jeffreyi.
