proper noun Odontolcae n. pl. (Written also Odontholcae, and Odontoholcae) (Paleon.) An extinct order of ostrichlike aquatic birds having teeth, which are set in a groove in the jaw. It includes Hesperornis, and allied genera. See Hesperornis.
