noun Eozoon n. (pl. eozoöns, L. eozoa) (Paleon.) A peculiar structure found in the Archaean limestones of Canada and other regions. By some geologists it is believed to be a species of gigantic Foraminifera, but others consider it a concretion, without organic structure.
